Clara Analytics needed to fill several Data Scientist positions requiring NLP and insurance industry experience, all while working with a limited budget for compensation and lacking brand recognition in a highly competitive job market. In 2021, the data science job market was in high demand, creating a candidate market where top talent had many opportunities to choose from. These challenges required HopHR to not only find candidates with the right skills and experience but also to provide a great candidate experience to attract and retain top talent.
We submitted one candidate for the Senior Data Scientist (NLP) role, and he was successfully hired, resulting in a submission-to-hire ratio of 1:1. For the other Senior Data Scientist role, we submitted six candidates, and one was hired, resulting in a submission-to-hire ratio of 1:6. Our average submission to hire ratio for all roles was 1:4. Our focus on providing a great candidate experience was also reflected in the feedback we received.
